Orion Testing Standards

Before our SBC systems are shipped to our clients, we run them through a series of rigorous tests to ensure that they can hold up to even the most extreme elements. This includes verifying the reliability of each component as well as a complete board inspection.

Each product that rolls off our production line is created with a specific test plan. This test plan is developed by Orion’s own software developers and hardware engineers to ensure it meets the needs of our clients.

We also require that each of our custom designed embedded single board computers run a Linux-based multitasking test to ensure each component is working as expected.  Orion uses a proprietary test suite that offers robust monitoring and logging features to ensure every component is behaving exactly according to the customized test plan.

Harsh Environment Testing

Many of our clients plan to use our SBCs in harsh environments, which is why it’s important to use burn-in testing to identify any inferior components. This allows us to test our products in the exact scenarios where they’ll be most used in the field.
