The VPX7650 is Orion’s latest release of powerful, rugged and flexible Single Board Computers. The VPX7650 employs Intel’s Second (2nd) Generation Dual or Quad Core i7 Processors (Sandy Bridge). It is ideal for applications that require significant processing power in a small space. The VPX7650 was designed for high-bandwidth applications such as image processing, radar, military and avionics right from that start. With three PCI Express (PCIe) VPX fat pipes, two Ethernet ports (GbE, 10/100/1000) and a host of configurable IO such as SATA, USB and GPIOs, the VPX7650 is well equipped for many demanding applications.
Offered in 4 levels of ruggedization, the VPX7650 is well suited for any environment. This Single Board Computer (SBC) can be utilized in the harshest military environments when using the REDI (Vita 48.2) extended temperature, conduction cooled version. It is also available in a commercial temperature, air cooled version for less demanding commercial and industrial applications. This VPX SBC is designed and tested to ensure the highest reliability in any environment.
The VPX7650 may be purchased in a dual or a quad core variant of the 2nd Generation Intel Core i7. Another large advantage of the VPX7650 is the number of VPX profiles that are supported. Orion will gladly modify or customize this board to meet your requirements
